Primo Mustard Shag Rug

What is Felt? Simply put, felt rugs are made of matted wool. Felt is created by subjecting wool to moisture, heat, and pressure and is used in modern rugs and modern shag area rugs. Felt rugs are in this year! While a regular shag rug gives you a nice, cozy atmosphere in the room, only a true felt rug can give your feet that unique feeling of walking on a cloud. Meticulously crafted, dyed and hand loomed, these felt rugs are more than just a floor covering. They are a separate furniture piece in themselves. If you've never owned one before - buy one, and your feet will thank you for it. Twice.
Decorating with shag area rugs is one of the easiest ways to revitalize, update, improve and beautify any room in your home. Shag rugs can turn a drab room into one full of color. Or you can use shag rugs to create a focal point or define an area of interest. Shag rugs can add warmth to otherwise cold tiles, stone or concrete floors.
High Pile Height Rugs are usually shags with a pile of at least 2" long. They are soft, luxurious and make your feet feel like walking on fresh soft grass. Only a long pile shag will allow you to get the full effect of the light reflecting off the yarns. Longer yarns allow for more artistic expression from the weaver as well!
Thick Yarn threads are usually thicker than 1/4" and can be several materials woven together. It is also often made out of felt wool, so the material feels really thick and warm to the touch. These rugs have a lot of volume and help insulate the floor and make the room feel more cozy and personal.
Invoke the feel and warmth of in your home with a stunning woolen hand-hooked rug. Meticulously made by hand tufting, hand looming or hand knotting, this area rug is made from natural sheep wool. As such, wool rugs have their own pallette with slightly more muted, pastel colors that nevertheless allow for just as much artistic expression. With a woolen rug, your room will stay warmer and simply walking around barefoot will be a pleasure.
